John and I (I'm Julieanne:-) started off our MLM Home Business in the year 2000, when we answered an advert in the local paper, which said "Make your computer work for you.". At the time, we were like lots of people who answer adverts like that - we weren't really looking for a business opportunity. However, after doing some research we thought it sounded like a great way to make extra income, and got started.

The person who placed the advert turned out to be a Network marketer who used rather a unique system (at that time) for getting pre-qualified prospects. However, this system called for a sales presentation over the phone, to "convince" the prospect to join. Our closing question for the prospect was "So, what flavor would you like, chocolate, strawberry or vanilla?"

As you can imagine, these sales presentations were really pushy and certainly not duplicatable (the script lasted for 30 minutes). We had people joining our business, but the majority of those people gave up within a month. They were apprehensive about reading the sales script and never got started.

After a couple of years of trying out those embarassing and uncomfortable (to us anyway) strategies that so many Network Marketers are recommended to use, we got started in another company and learned to do "Relationship Marketing" on the Internet. A group of us were all using another kind of "internet system" to market our opportunity, and we combined it with the "Relationship Marketing" approach. It was really exciting because many people were joining for free at first to look at our biz, and a lot of them upgraded.

We set up an amazing team using this approach which was the very beginning of what is now called "Attraction Marketing". We took off and in the first month we had more than forty people in our team.

I was working full time as a lecturer and writing my PhD thesis also, and was getting quite tired of working continuously. I saw network marketing as a way to make money and have more time for fun.

One month we earned enough money for the whole family to take a course in Scuba diving (a pretty expensive hobby), and after that, I wanted to keep doing things that were adventurous.

Our Network Marketing income tripled, and just nine months later, I left my full time job. I still remember that special day. I woke up that Friday morning feeling great! Believe it or not, for once I was actually looking forward to going to work. Why? Because that day was THE day.

The last day of my Full time job... Now, I have it all! No more study. Yipee. Who needs a PhD to obtain freedom and financial dreams?

As John Milton Fogg, author of The Greatest Networker in the World, once said to me (when I mentioned struggling with a thesis), "Sheesh, get a real job".

And now I work from my own home office. My office has a nice big window that lets in the morning sun and a great view of the big Pine Tree hill I love to climb every day. Most of the way up the hill, there's a magnificent view of about 10 miles of Gold Coast ocean and skyscrapers. I can hear the birds singing away and the kookaburras laughing while I'm working (it's not really working but more like playing).

What we do nowadays is post articles, create videos, write on our blogs and assist others to do the same thing for their business. You can see what we do if you type "Julieanne van Zyl" into Google (click here to see).

By doing this, people can get to know us and be attracted to our business if that's what they are looking for.

We don't need to do sales presentations anymore because people buy our products and join our business (often without speaking to us first). Of course, we follow up with business partners after they join, and assist them.

The best part of Attraction Marketing is that people approach us to join our business, and we don't have to go after them. People search on the internet for a business or a product, and they find our websites if they are relevant to what they want. Some experienced network marketing leaders have also joined us over the years because they were looking for a sponsor in a particular company, and they found our web pages. All these people were attracted to us when they saw our "stuff" on the internet.

And, now we want to help more people to learn about Attraction Marketing, because it's a much more fun and easier way to build a business, and definitely NOT embarrassing.
